Dnia 10.10.2016r. w Bibliotece Publicznej Gminy Gniewoszów odbył się wieczór poetycko-wspomnieniowy o życiu i twórczości poetki Marii Konopnickiej. Choć za oknem szary, pochmurny dzień to w bibliotece przy ciepłym świetle świec, pięknie zabrzmiała poetyckość wierszy poetki. Panie w stylowych kapeluszach i eleganckich strojach, by choć trochę poczuć się jak na początku XX wieku, z przejęciem, wzruszeniem i liryzmem zaprezentowały kilkanaście wierszy. W rolę Marii wcieliła się uczennica Gimnazjum Publicznego w Gniewoszowie Katarzyna Olejarz. Piękne wiersze poetki członkowie Klubu Seniora „Zawsze Aktywni”: Helena Baran, Ewa Maurer, Anna Fotyga, Danuta Błażyńska, Krystyna Szewczyk, Ryszard Szewczyk, Ryszarda Tyburcy, Wojciech Szczepaniak oraz Stanisława Bachanek , a także uczennice gimnazjum przygotowane przez Panią Edytę Dajek: Aleksandra Gołda, Julia Ząbek oraz Andżelika Banaś. Na zakończenie wszyscy wspólnie zaśpiewali pieśń patriotyczną do tekstu Marii Konopnickiej zatytułowaną „Rota”. Przy słodkim poczęstunku długo wspominano wiersze Marii zapamiętane ze szkolnych lat.
